Women’s Basketball: Ohio State Earns a #4 Seed in the NCAA Tournament
Ohio State will host the first two rounds of the tournament in St. John Arena. The Buckeyes will open the tournament by playing the #13 seed University of Central Florida on Saturday at 1:30pm in a game that will be televised on one of the ESPN networks. If OSU wins that game, they will face the winner of the game between #5 seed Georgia Tech and #12 seed Bowling Green next Monday evening. Look for a complete preview of Ohio State’s first game later in the week.
For those of you filling out your men’s tournament brackets, we invite you to participate in the first annual Our Honor Defend women’s bracket challenge. Join our group at ESPN, password is buckeyes, and see just how well you can predict the tournament. First prize is bragging rights.

Women’s bracket challenge? I’m game. Can I name my bracket “Samantha Prahalis’ Private Jet” or does it not work like fantasy baseball/football?
I think you can name it anything that you want, though I reserve the right to publicly ridicule anything that sounds pro-Michigan, though that will obviously not be a problem for you Vico.
Ooooooh, wait. Is “Kevin Borseth’s Podium” already taken for a bracket name?
Not yet Vico, you should get on that. And I love that clip.
Speaking of which, he was denied a bid to the Big Dance, again. I wouldn’t want to be a podium about now.
Not that Michigan should have any beef w/ getting denied again. 3rd place in a meek B1G TEN, no significant out-of-conference wins (Kansas would be it), but many losses (A&M, Iowa St, Xavier, and Marquette). Quality losses? Sure, but still losses. Plus, there was that U-Detroit debacle.
The U-Detroit loss and losing to Illinois in their first game in the Big Ten tournament doomed Michigan, I would have hated to be near Borseth when that selection show finished. It sucks that we got swept by them this year but at the end of the day, we are dancing and they are going to the NIT.
You’ve got to ease off a bit, Vico.. you are coming up with all the good bracket names.
