Sadly no longer patrolling the Toledo sideline
Today, America’s football team plays football in America’s most American city. More importantly, today is the day the Buckeyes hopefully get back on track following a regrettable (and avoidable) loss to USC. Today, the defense needs to show that the near hell it put USC through is something that every team remaining on its schedule can expect for a full 60 minutes. The offense needs to show that it’s capable of scoring touchdowns, as in plural. Red zone offense in 2008 was a field goal offense and, so far, the Buckeyes have not shown too much this year to show that anything will be different.
This will be one of three Buckeye live blogs where I will not participate. I’m actually a guest at my boss’ house where, I hope, he has ESPN+. Nevertheless, there’ll be college football to watched, which sadly may degenerate into a point-counterpoint of “S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!” vs. “Please stop.”. I’ll also be at a work conference for the Indiana game and in Columbus, Ohio for the Penn State game. Those of you that’ll be around and not soaking in the Americana in Cleveland can join the live chat hosted by Jeff of the Buckeye Battle Cry.
Love the plugin, I didn’t realize that a number of sites run the same chat during the game. Gives different site readers an opportunity to read the opinion of a number of site owners.
For those of you actually fortunate to have watched the game; what the heck was with all OSU’s false start penalties? Who were the culprits?
Thanks Steve, regarding the live chat….we wanted to form some unity amongst OSU bloggers, and show our readers the other blogs that they should check out….and it seems to be working.
Ken………….Boren had one , Browning had another and yes we had a few too many.
