We kick field goals JohnBoy............we kick field goals. Thats all Tress plays for. Until he proves his base wrong, Tress plays for field position and field goals.

Did anybody watch Miami vs GT last night? It was a testament to what a great OC could do for us. Mark Whipple had the Canes hitting on all cylinders, very in sync across the line. Jacory Harris looked like Tom Brady out there. Very confident.
We will have our hands full with them next year. We will probably need to score at least 8 points or something and hold them to 7.

If things really get bad, I just hope to God Toledo has its traditional point shaving practices going on in full force -- and that they are betting against themselves.

Toledo brings more than you can block, and more than you can read..............per Tress himself.

O-line better be on its A-game ( if they have one )

And Pryor had better make better reads before the snap, Tress admits he isn't quite there yet.

Poe,

As long as we decide not to pull both guards on the same play. I've seen it happen. In high school. My high school. While I was qb'ing...

Ken,

If it occurs, we've abandoned the forward pass and would rather pull the right guard.

"In that scenario, Andrew Moses or left tackle Andrew Miller could play guard."

What team takes their STARTING LEFT TACKLE and puts him at right guard? Only way that should happen in Adams outplays Miller at LT.

Boy, do I hope that Shugarts has a a great game, for all the right reasons, of course. OK, regarding Browing at RT; haven't we 'been-there, done-that', hence he's at RG for now?

Somewhat related; I'd read on one of the various OSU blogs that Browning seemed to have trouble with his pulls. I couldn't understand the logic of having a slllooowwlly developing play to the left with a pulling guard who evidently couldn't get the pulling thing down, and to the side of the line where we have a LT that seems to lack "lead in his pants" as a power blocker. Did I miss something with this?

I like the idea of having a somewhat athletic LT (Miller) to protect Pryor's blind side, but is he really a power blocker? Miller, not Pryor. It would make sense to me to run these (I'd rather not run them, to be honest) plays to the right, where Browning and (now) Shugarts can knock folks on their asses, and have Boren make the pull to clean up. Or can't Boren pull for shit, either. I need some advice here, I'm struggling with the concept.

Appreciatively,
Ken
