Yes, this is a bump, as in to raise the blog’s profile by returning it to the top of the list in the Big Ten Bloggers Feed.  What of it?

Anyways, I have a bigger video to be made public tomorrow.  For now, though, I’ll share this university commercial shown during a bowl game (you’ll find out which one tomorrow).  Basically, E. Gordon Gee (then President of The Ohio State University. Now current President of The Ohio State University) and Dave Thomas (founder of Wendy’s, now deceased) team up to double team cancer.  This is a commercial for Dave Thomas’ most recent philanthropic endowment to Ohio State in the form of The R. David Thomas Ambulatory Chemotheraphy Center at the James Cancer Hospital and Cancer Research Institute at The Ohio State University.  With the formalities of names out of the way, Gee and Thomas basically put cancer on notice.  I can think of no better way to fight cancer… other than this, perhaps (~6:36 in the clip).

On the topic of these university commercials: it’s worth noting that I have several more university commercials that I’ve been sitting on for awhile now.  A casual reminder to the relevant department at The Ohio State University: put these vintage university commercials online, or I will put them online.  Either way, they’re going online.

I guess in actual football news, the new rankings are out.  The Buckeyes didn’t budge.  Oh well.  The rest of the poll isn’t important.
