Campin’

Mike Adams, gone campin
Today is August 3rd, which by itself holds no national significance that I know of.  But today, for college football fans across the country, players are reporting to preseason camp to prepare for the upcoming season.  It’s no different for the Buckeyes, but lucky for us, Bucknuts has pictures.  As the picture in this post indicates, it’s only a matter of time before Buckeyes, like Mike Adams, start snapping necks.

On the topic of Mike Adams, apparently he’s making better progress than anyone could’ve imagined.

Freshman lineman Mike Adams, recovering from shoulder surgery, could be back sooner than expected. Eleven days ago, Tressel thought Adams might be ready a few games into the season and wouldn’t be ready for any contact during the preseason.

“The latest words I’ve been hearing is that Mike Adams might make it back for the beginning of camp. I’m not going to count on that, but when I bump into him, he says, ‘Coach, I’m going to be ready day one.’”

Quality reps for Mike Adams this season would be amazing.  His progress has led to speculation that he could be ready to go as soon as the later stages of camp, with a possibility of seeing the field against Youngstown State.  Whatever the case, this is further proof that Mike Adams has transcended conventional understandings of mortality.  We shall all behold his glory.

Dotting the I reminds us all that those in the area who are interested in watching the players knock each other silly for our amusement can do so on August 18.  The evening practice will be held at 7:30pm, and should (hopefully) display a Buckeye squad more than ready to pounce on the Penguins a week and a half later.

Mike Adams completed the translation of the Dead Sea scrolls his freshman year of high school. Unfortunately, he translated it to an earlier form of Aramaic, and nobody knows how to read it.
