Sack City 2008

Dear future Big 10 offensive lines,

Sack City 2008

…I think these gentlemen would like to have a word with you about how things are gonna be for the next 4 years.

Honestly, I think the real reason I posted this is to draw attention to Shawntel Rowell (#91, back row, far right).  His frame has improved dramatically from what it was around his junior year of HS at Glenville.  Granted, I’d like to see him put a lot more weight on, but with Shaq’s current frame, it’ll be so much easier for him to tack on “good weight” (if you will).  He looks to be about 280ish or so (I have a hard time judging weight), but if he can work his way back up into the 300s, he’s going to be a handful for the next couple years.

For the record, Garrett Goebel is wearing Randy Gradishar’s number.  I expect results from the Warrior accordingly.  I’ll probably get them too :-D

Maybe it’s just me, but a higher-resolution (read: non-camera phone) version of this picture would make for an excellent Buckeye-themed Christmas card.

I’m so excited about Rowell. He had to put so much work in to even get an offer that he won’t forget about the effort anytime soon. I think he’s a huge surprise in this class and is a tank in the middle of our line by 2009

I believe I read the other day that Rowell got all the way down to around 270, 275, with plans to get (healthily) back up to the 290 area as he fills out during his career.

Goebel, Wells, Mobley, all look like upperclassmen body-shape wise already. Hope they get some quality PT this year.
