What to expect

There’s been some light posting ’round these here parts following our business excursion to Chicago. Much of that stems from a few factors. Chief among them, Buckeye sports is essentially over post-NIT, with Vic and I now having spiffy t-shirts to sport around the workplace. Most importantly, though, all 3 of us have some ongoing matters that are compromising routine blogging for the moment. Our very own Max Power — 5-star dual threat blogger par excellence — has an incredible job upcoming that we’re all very excited about1. It’s killing Vic and I not to boast about it, but given our goals here to keep personal and blogging matters separate, we offer that only to account for him excitedly making the transition.

That, and I think he’s just burnt through his 3rd or 4th effigy of Joe Borowski. We all have…

Meanwhile, Vic and I are both furious at work on work-related projects. This is the odd paradox of the work environment: by whom much is done, of whom even more is expected, by which blogging is compromised. Seriously, between the two of us, I think we’ve done enough work to earn a 3 month vacation. When not carrying the company with our awesome Buckeye mightiness, we both have other things on our plate. Mine’s been said in the comments section of the BKAB feature on Andrew Sweat (next post down).

Vic, though, is going through his Brian Wilson phase that he gets into when he gets bogged down in work. Though I don’t think it entails piling sand around his piano, it does entail him obsessing about work, speaking about himself in the 3rd person, dissociating himself and the “Evil Vico”, listening to lots of Olivia Newton-John, and going extended periods of time without sunlight, face-to-face interaction2, or alcohol.

That said, I do know he’s working on some things, of which he’s not inclined to boast so I won’t boast for him. I think his next BKAB feature will still come out Thursday, but I haven’t a clue who it will be on. We will have something up for the Spring Game, however.

Hopefully a month from now, we can get back into the powerblogging.
