say it with me: Beat Michigan.

Michael Brewster, presserWe don’t know what kind of recruiting roundup we will do. Odds are Bucknuts or BuckeyePlanet will do something infinitely more informative than anything we can put together. Moreover, any kind of analysis immediately forthcoming would leave out the issue of Terrelle Pryor, who as protagonists Max and Wil have noted in the comments section, is an Ohio State lean with parents who are Penn State leans. Whatever follows from that will, well, be what follows and there’s really nothing more we can add to it, other than thinking out loud that we would love him in Columbus and that it’s assuring that it’s basically right now Ohio State vs. the field.

That said, the kids we did get today all came out with quotes that we’re usually not accustomed to hearing from incoming players, who all know each other in the Midwest through regional football camps and the like. Instead, we’re hearing the kind of venom for Michigan that we hear only from former players who only realize in their alumnus state how much Michigan truly wangs chung. Bucknuts Signing Day coverage with the scoop, for the win.

Nic DiLillo:

Growing up a Buckeyes fan, DiLillo has already developed distaste for anything Wolverine, and doesn’t mind letting his feelings be known about Michigan.

“I hate Michigan just like any Ohio State football player,” DiLillo said. “I just want to get after them as hard as I can. You can have a bad season and if you beat them, it’s a good year. I just want to destroy them every year. Hopefully, we’ll get that done.”

Willie Mobley, Minnesota boy:

One of those things that will endear him to Buckeye Nation is that he’s not too fond of Ohio State’s arch rival, Michigan.

Mobley said, “I really don’t hate a lot of things, but I hate Michigan. I already have that gross taste in my mouth when I hear about them. When I see people in Michigan sweatshirts at school, I give them a hard time. (Ohio State commitment Michael) Brewster and all those guys, we all have it on our Facebook with the countdown to the Michigan game and the Gold Pants and everything.”

We don’t have access to the other stories (like on Sabino and Howard), and we’d welcome anyone who does have access to that telling us what references to Michigan they make. But for the incoming class, again, say it with me: Beat Michigan. Keep chanting those words until the urge to kill rises causing you to punch out a hole in the nearest wall you can find. We, for just a group of people, love that they drank the kool-aid well before even signing with the Buckeyes.

fine, leave it to me to be the guy that votes for Ben Buchanan. If no one gots love for the kicker, then I gots love for the kicker, yo. First guy to commit in this class too, so perhaps we should call it the Buchanan Bunch?
