Pryor to announce on Wednesday?
Terrelle Pryor looks like he will be making a Wednesday decision after all, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Decision day will be at noon Wednesday for Terrelle Pryor.
Pryor, star quarterback at Jeannette High School, said today he is “80 to 90 percent sure” he will announce his choice at a news conference Wednesday. He had been considering pushing back his decision a week or so, and possibly visiting the University of Oregon.
Of course, “80 to 90 percent” falls short of any kind of real confidence, statistically speaking, but it at least seems that Pryor will make a decision on Wednesday after all. Or at least, that’s what’s it looking like.
Pryor will formally decide between the Buckeyes, the Wolvereenies, and the Nittany Lions, though most everyone believes it’s basically a choice between the forces of good and evil, with Penn State there as seemingly the obligatory third choice. Of course, Pryor could always choose the Lions and shock us all, but no one is thinking that may be the case. RUTS says why, noting that the Lions chances would’ve been much better if and only if he had delayed his decision. Failing that, the Penn State cap will be there for courtesy.
Also losing out on the Pryor sweepstakes is Oregon, who will not receive an official visit from Pryor. Oregon had the chance to wow Pryor with their offensive scheme (what Pryor wants to run) and with their top-notch facilities, but it seems the distance thing was too much to overcome, both for logistics of scheduling a flight and distance away from an ailing family member, if my understanding of Pryor’s situation is correct.
We are upset, however, that Pryor is choosing on Wednesday because Wednesday we will be stuck in a meeting we really don’t care to attend at the moment, nor is it a meeting we could sneak out of and not get in trouble. With us away from a moving pictures box, we will not get to watch the press conference that ESPN will apparently broadcast.
Someone out there in possession of the necessary technologies — anyone out there — please, PLEASE record the press conference (if it takes place) and upload it to the YouTubes so we can watch and enjoy in the event he declares for the Buckeyes. Failing that, though, we will have an open thread where we think we can sneak to a computer and check on even while we’re in our meetings.

this guy has been posting recently on Scout’s forum citing some kind of connection with the Pryors or some other kind of familiarity.
Let’s hope SI and company are right…The Kid has been a headache but I’m willing to roll the dice and assume The Vest can keep him in line.
I hope where it says “King Pryor” above his little cubbyhole was just placed there for the photoshoot. If not, then wow, he really is a me-me-me attention whore and those coaches/players on his team are brown-nosers.
