Addendum to the Jake Stoneburner piece

Posted by Vico in Recruiting |

Mea culpa for missing this, and mea culpa in a big way. I made mention earlier that I couldn’t find much in the way of The Quotable Jake Stoneburner Fluff Piece, but only because I was looking mostly at formal media.

And somehow I missed this Straight 6 feature with Stoneburner, even though I’ve read a few of their other ones (like the one with Garrett Goebel).

So, finally, The Quotable Jake Stoneburner Fluff Piece:

BPRT: You are the fifth member of what could be an incredible class for 2008. What sealed the deal for the Buckeyes?

JS: I’ve always dreamed of being able to be a buckeye and play at the Shoe, and just being able to be close with the coaches and the recruits comming in. It made it an easy choice.

BPRT: Now that you are a Buckeye, who do you plan on convincing to join you in Columbus?

JS: Michael Brewster. I will work him until the day he commits, and he will be a Buckeye.

BPRT: What are your goals at tOSU?

JS: I want to play as a freshman, win Big Ten and National Titles, and the most important thing is to beat Michigan all four years.

The last one resonates well with us. Never Forget.

For the record, Stoneburner compares himself to Jurevicius, so, you know, I wasn’t way off in saying that the Jurevicius analogy was probably the most appropriate (along with the Jarrett one).

You might have also figured out by now that this is a rather flimsy pretext to put up a post and keep our traffic in what’s otherwise a very very slow time of the year for college football. It’s our blog and we can do that.
