Super Bowl?

Posted by Gabby Jay in NFL |

I won’t be watching that heavily, or at least with that much enthusiasm, largely due to the Seacrestization of Fox’s coverage of the Super Bowl. Perhaps I say that because I just overheard Paula Abdul announce and perform her newest single on their pregame show. Or perhaps I say that because I don’t recognize the legitimacy of any NFL playoffs where the Cleveland Browns are not eligible to participate.

No Cleveland Browns + Paula Abdul + Ryan Seacrest + Fox Sports = No Ratings. At least not from my side.

Mike Vrabel at the Texas gameThat said, it’s apparently on, and apparently Mike Vrabel is playing in it. So that’s good enough for me to pay a cursory glance to it.

So Go Mike Vrabel! and Bam Childress! and Go Bucks! So, therefore, go Patriots? With a Michigan quarterback?

Meh, the Super Bowl is lucky that there’s nothing good on that there TV anyways.

Update: and there’s a Nick Lachey sighting. I thought Buckeye fans ran him out of the sports world after he thought it’d be special to sing The Victors on top of Ohio Stadium?

Alicia Keys wants me throwing my hands in the air. I will do no such thing. It’s not 2001, Ms Keys; you are no longer relevant (if you ever were).  The fun part is that I had to stare at the moving pictures box for a minute until I realized who she was, and that wasn’t until she started singing that wretched “Fallin’” song I couldn’t avoid in high school.

GIANTS! Sorry New England. Of course, now that it’s all over, Charlie Weis has the entire group of Patriots coaching staff at his disposal to pour over his team and make them INVINCIBLE for generations to come!

It really must be the Charlie Weis difference. Without his unequivocal genius, the Patriots are just ordinary
