Laurinaitis returning. What. A. Rush.

Plain Dealer with the scoop.

“Money can’t give you this experience, especially your senior season with the way this season could go,” Laurinaitis said. “I’m excited about my choice to come back.

James Laurinaitis, found on the Columbus DispatchShould be a very senior heavy team next year, with 3 Big Ten titles and two national title (appearances) to their credit, not unlike the two teams the Bucks played in Glendale and New Orleans respectively. At least one veteran presence on the offensive line with Boone returning at left tackle. Senior leadership at receiver with Robo coming back, an experienced linebacker core with the return of Freeman, and a potential All-American — the one I thought was the most Pro-ready — turning down potential first round money to come back and graduate.

Not bad at all. And these guys weren’t half so bad as underclassmen either. Only Penn State and Illinois hold a Big Ten victory over these guys in the past 3 years.

Well, I’m now excited for 2008. Is it September yet?

Oh, and:

Laurinaitis also listened to the Ohio State fans.

“I’m hoping they’re happy,” Laurinaitis said. “I hope Buckeye Nation knows I love them and they’re a big reason I’m coming back, because of their love and support and how proud I am to represent them.”

Oh you betcha.
